Shaping

I work as a high school teacher as my day job, and I fully support the belief that no two kids learn exactly the same way. My classroom is structured to allow creative expression and the kids’ abilities to champion their own learning. I often joke that teaching children and training dogs are similar endeavors, but one of the defining differences between dogs and humans is our ability to be creative, which is the highest level of Bloom’s taxonomy. We often attempt to anthropomorphize dogs, but we must remember that they are not human. Their instincts are drives vary from ours in many ways.
